You Are What You Eat...

Alumni weekend is supposed to be a time of catching up on old times, throwing back a couple of totties, and hanging out with friends. Thumbing through old yearbooks isnt the only ting that went down this weekend though. There was a wedding too, but that was short lived. This 2009 alumni weekend was about much more....food! Delicicous food. Between Chris, Meghan, Cami, and Wes we did what we had to do. It started with those little cheese enchilada roll-ups on Friday at the Alumni gathering, kept going with Shrimp and Grits from the back of some guys truck off San Marco Blvd, and ended with some Sonic for a late night snack. It didnt stop there with our two guests. The next night involved thievery of some pork, beans, and bwoniesfrom the 1999 Alumni gathering. We ate the heck out of that meal. After a few cold draughts at the Brick, Wes's stomach was yearning for more. We thought we might have worms but thats impossible, only dogs and horses get worms.

So we hit up some Taco Bell for Cami and Wes, and some McDonalds for Chris and Meghan...because those fries are just so delicious. It was an unbelievable weekend of cheap food that deserves a better name. After our fill Wes and I relaxed with a few cigars then put the women to bed.

REO SPEEDWAGON....still got it?

Not a lot of people can say they have been to an REO SPEEDWAGON concert..... because tickets are so hard to come by?NO... because most everyone thought they were dead? NO... they are quite alive...because no one would ever pay for tickets to see them jam? Yes. Well ours were free!

The concert was not quite awesome, but the people were amazing. Meghan and I saw lots of air guitars, dancing in seats, and our personal favorite, air piano. You see, REO SPEEDWAGON first played in Jacksonville in 1971. I was negative eight years old. The fan base this special night was averaging 45+ and they were rockin'. We will remember this night for a long time. It's a reminder that you are not cool if you are pushing 50 and still trying to rock.
